What should I wear to Pole Fit classes?
Beginners can wear leggings/trousers and a vest/tshirt. No rings, bracelets, watches or necklaces should be worn.
Good technique and spotting are taught from the beginning and reinforced throughout to ensure high standards of safety. You may experience a little bruising in the early stages while you are learning technique, building strength and control.
I would suggest tight clothing, pole grip and hot pants (you will have bruises when you first start out yet this fades after awhile and it is something you'd get use to). Pole is barefoot yet you can bring socks and grip socks in cold conditions.
How old do should you be to attend Pole Fit?
The starting age is 16 years or over.
How many participants are in a Pole Fit class?
In the open sessions there can be up to 12 participants. For small group personal pole training you can have up to 4 friends maximum. Pole parties can have up to 24 people.
Can men attend Pole Fit
Yes, men can attend all sessions and all other courses.
How do I book onto the taster sessions?
You can get in touch by the contact form or call 01604 713320.
What is the difference between 121/small group sessions/Courses?
We find membership commitment work best if you want to get results and the full health benefits of the pole workouts! The sessions are fun, friendly and a great way to meet other like minded pole enthusiasts like you 🙂
121 or small group session work best if you are a little shy or have a group of friends who are looking to try pole and wish to do it together or after some serious pole results. Again the session work similar to the group workouts ( yet you get more focus on you), progressing you through the levels of pole fit.
How do I arrange my Pole Fit Membership??
Attend a Pole Fit taster to try it out and see if you enjoy it. Book a time to discuss Pole Fit Membership options best suited for your needs and which sessions you'd like to attend.
WHY should I choose membership at POLE FIT??
The pole fit membership motivates you to make a commitment to your fitness and body results.
Should I moisturize ?
No. Do not wear any moisturizers or oils on the hands or body on the day of your pole fit sessions. You will not stick to the apparatus and it's dangerous.
Is the class for future pole dancers?
Generally most attendees just do it for fun fitness (it is very athletic), for body confidence and to unleash their inner diva.
What kind of workout does Pole Fit provide?
Combining, fitness and dance to music we can confidently say both disciplines provides cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training in the sessions. We do however stress the importance of continued exercise throughout the week such as walking, running and strength training workouts. They are also a lot of fun and enhance your pole progression.
Who should not attend Pole Fit classes?
This type of exercise or dance is not advised for pregnant women, people with back problems and people who have had recent surgery. If you have not exercised in a long time we recommend you seek your GP's advice before.
Will I ache? Get bruising??
The first time you attend the class the next day you will feel discomfort in areas where you would not think possible, as you would when you participate in a new form of exercise. This achy feeling gets much better as you progress. However bruising does occur on legs especially. If you feel any discomfort during the class, speak to your pole coach and they will advise accordingly.
